1937

Rev. A. G. Holbrook arrives in Fort William and starts meetings in homes and then in the old Post Office on May Street, later on Cameron Street and then the Trades and Labour Hall on Finlayson Street

1944

Church grows and a building is purchased on Simpson Street

1950

Congregation builds a new church at 222 Leith Street

Evangel becomes affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada

1956

Rev. Bruce Schwindt commences his ministry at Evangel

1959

Services moved to Odd Fellows Hall because of building structural problems on Leith Street

1963

Church moves to facilities at Arthur Street E. & Kelly Street

Rev. Gary Foreman becomes the pastor at Evangel

1969

Rev. Doug Lindsay begins his pastoral ministry at Evangel

1974

Rev. Reubin Drisner commences ministry at Evangel

1979

Church moves to present facilities at 1260 Balmoral Street

Rev. Gordon Krause begins his pastoral ministry at Evangel

Rev. Clarence Mitchell begins ministry at Evangel

Rev. Gary Wilson becomes the pastor at Evangel

2001

Completion of a 11,475 square foot outreach and educational extension of the building with gymnasium, offices, classrooms, youth room, kitchen and a 2,000 square foot mezzanine floor that has been renovated to serve as a functional area.
