AARON & KATYA PILON

KIev, Ukraine

Aaron Pilon left Chatham, Ontario as a young man determined to serve God in Eastern Europe.  While training at a Bible College in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, he met his wife, Katya, also a student at the college.

Following college, the Pilons headed for the nation of Kyrgyzstan to fulfill a calling on their lives to reach people in the former Soviet Union.  After planting a church in the southern city of Osh, they moved to Bishkek, the capital.  A few years of hard work yielded another growing and vibrant church.

As a result of some recent visa difficulties, the Pilons are currently in Kiev, Ukraine, where Katya is presently studying medicine in order to become a family physician.  Their church in Bishkek is continuing on, presently networking with Teen Challenge, a university student outreach, a prison ministry and a summer Little League.  While in Kiev, Aaron and Katya are encouraging their church in Bishkek and the other 5 churches in Kyrgyzstan through Internet, and through occasional visits from Katya.  They are also helping with a church in Kiev that reaches out to university students.
