JUNIOR & IVY ANDREWS

Lilongwe, Malawi

The Andrews are presently involved with the development and day-to-day operation of the Lilongwe, Malawi Village of Hope (VOH) Children's Home for orphaned and vulnerable children.  Junior is the National Director for the VOH in Malawi and Ivy serves as the administrator.

When the VOH project is fully developed, there will be twelve homes hosting eight (8) children, one house mother, and one auntie per home.  Because of HIV/AIDS and other circumstances in this area of Africa, Malawi has an estimated 1,000,000 orphaned children out of a total national population of approximately 12,000,000.

Children of the VOH will be provided with food and shelter, clothing, medical attention, clean drinking and bathing water, education, but MOST IMPORTANTLY, a family unit that teaches good Christian morals, offering opportunity for the children to know JESUS CHRIST personally.

Junior and Ivy are also involved in a feeding, clothing, and educational program for street children, in conjunction with the Malawi government and the Ministry of Women and Child Development.  As a result of various areas of ministry that the Andrews are involved in, the door is open wide for the VOH in to be a reflection of the love of Christ in this nation.
